Leiden Bio Science Park (LBSP) is the largest and most prominent knowledge cluster in the Netherlands in the field of Life Sciences & Health. The park also enjoys a strong international reputation. Its unique combination of a leading university, university of applied sciences, research institutes, healthcare organisations and innovative companies attracts students, scientists and entrepreneurs from all over the world to the knowledge city of Leiden.

 

LBSP is home to the highest concentration of bioscience start-ups in the Netherlands, along with several multinationals and internationally renowned research institutes. The ecosystem is growing rapidly: 519 organisations are currently active at the park, employing over 27,000 professionals.

The presence of a university of applied sciences, vocational training programmes (MBO), and multiple university faculties contributes to a vibrant campus atmosphere, with thousands of students on site every day.

 

Covering approximately 110 hectares, the park is spaciously designed and offers ample room for further development of life sciences-related businesses, offices and housing.
