Relevance

The Van Steenis subarea fits in with the Entreegebied. The Entreegebied is the beating heart of the business park. It serves as a meeting point for students, employees and visitors. The mix of functions has been ne-tuned to this and includes such functions as residential, short stay, sport, o ce, catering and limited retail. The vision here is residence in a campus setting with plenty of greenery. The plan encompasses central parking facilities in built multi-storey car parks above ground. Public transport links mean that the subarea is readily accessible.

Zoning plan and Master plan

A master plan has been drawn up for the Van Steenis subarea. The prevailing zoning plan has yet to be adapted to the new urban planning situation.

 

The master plans provide insight into such issues as the intended aesthetic quality of the area, densities per site, building heights and parking standards. Nevertheless, the provisions stipulated in the zoning plan will be normative. The business park is subject to supervision.

 

A maximum building height of 40 metres applies for the Van Steenis subarea.

Issuance

Land price

The land prices are being determined.

 

Parking

Provision of adequate parking space for all companies/institutes in accordance with the zoning plan. Parking standards in line with the municipal parking standards (see website of Leiden municipal authority).
