Baseclear construction start

In the north-east corner of the Sylvius sub-area, a leasehold was granted to the company Baseclear at the end of June 2017. The first pile was driven into the ground on 8 June for the construction of the new building.


Baseclear specialises in DNA technology and started in the LBSP in 1993 in a space no more than 25 m2. The company now has 60 employees and a turnover of approximately €8 million. The company has outgrown its current building of 1,400 m2. In the new building, there are 2,700 m2 of workstations and laboratory rooms.
